Up in the mountains, along the border to China, live some of the most amazing and colorful tribes. Once a week they walk the often long way to the weekly market for trading, sharing gossip or maybe finding a wife or husband. Though these minorities share the same hills and have lived here for centuries side by side, they have different languages and rarely mix except on market day. Every tribe has they own remarkable dress, and even different villages within the same tribe can be surprising different just because they live a hill side or two away from each other. This is no anthropological zoo, but real life in northern Vietnam.
