Victoria Falls change dramatically throughout the year due to the seasonal rise and fall of the Zambezi River. During Low Water period, November/early December, the falls dries up and the eastern side, which are higher than the western side, can dry up almost completely. During High Water, March/April, the spray often obscures the waterfall, making it difficult to photograph from the ground, but this period is best for aerial viewing.
